For those who wonder why some of us support President Donald Trump, first let me say that among us, only a very small percentage agree with his name-calling, his inflated ego and his inability to admit when he’s wrong. On those points, we agree with those who oppose him.
Now if you’re willing to look behind the curtain of the media, you’ll see a president who has brokered peace talks in the Middle East. He has protected the country from any attacks within our borders, and while some say he’s only worried about the stock market for the wealthy, please realize that the same stock market is where everyone with a 401k has their retirement money.
Trump has been called horrible names — racist, homophobic, Nazi, etc. — all while he’s created an environment where our farmers can sell their crops at a fair price due to tariffs on Chinese goods.
The unemployment rate among Black, Hispanic and female workers was the lowest ever during Trump’s presidency. Trump made it so that historically Black colleges and universities’ funding from Congress would be automatic — not what you’d expect from a racist.
Prior to COVID-19, our economy was the strongest it’s ever been for as long as it’s been strong.
Those are some of the many reasons we support Trump.
